NCPPC

Linkages is funded through the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Child and Adolescent Programs through a Community Based Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (CBAPP) Grant. In January 2006, NCPPC entered into a new 5-year funding cycle with the New York State Department of Health. Under the new initiative services are targeted toward Gouverneur and Hemon-DeKalb communities.

Services are subcontracted through five agencies: American Kang Duk Won, Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County, Gouverneur Central School, St. Lawrence County Health Initiative, Seaway Valley Prevention Council and an advisory group, Gouverneur Connections. Programming services include peer mentoring, adult parenting programs, student assistance programs, anti-violence and risk reduction programs, reproductive healthcare information and referral, asset building, karate, and a variety of physical activity and nutrition programming.
